loner, is actually the weird kid who everyone thinks does drugs. Nellie (named after ragnell from arthurian legend/the Roswell incident/nellie bly/Nessie) loves the macabre and gory but also cute things, wants to be taken seriously, proud (read: secretly insecure) autistic outcast, loves to talk

more on them: Rod (named after rod serling, lightning rods & the MacGuffin trope) is a warlock slacker, ambiguously not human (like, he mentions offhand having 2 hearts or no navel), uses stage magic as an excuse for weird stuff that happens around him. thinks of himself as a hot/mysterious (1/2)
