At the Smithsonian's natural History Museum, which houses the Hope Diamond. Along list of thieves and owners (from 1642 on) brought it to the United States in the early 20th c. Finally, Harry Winston donated the pared-down 45.5 carat diamond to the Smithsonian in 1958. It's insured for $250 million

In the valley of the kings on the West Bank in Luxor at the temple for Hatshepsut. Three large statues of her, but also a lot of defaced images. The last picture shows out how her name in the cartouche was painted over (by an upset step son, Thutmose III)
