LRP Murata-sensei is my favorite BTTF fanartist because this would have been the coolest manga.

Wow! This is a game I read about in Nintendo Power a ton but never got the chance to play. Guess I'll give it a shot soon!

It’s time I finally address the “mega pokemon are X and Y shaped” controversy.

Coming hot off the heels of Sho-ha Shoten! And in a similar niche to Akane-banashi, I thoroughly enjoyed the first chapter of Someone Hertz. A little comedy, a little slice of life, and a little romance really makes for a great first impression.

I think the best part of the Apple Keynote today was the font they used for PRO when announcing the 17 Pro. It's so chonky

Preodered the new Mugenbine Musou set. I'm really interested to see how this incarnation of Mugenbine compares to the old DX figures (HUGE fun) and the candy toy (Not so much).

This was an all-timer issue of Shonen Jump. One Piece, Kiyoshi, and Modulo especially.

Kurumizawa’s Folly is fascinating. It feels like an answer to Time Paradox Ghostwriter, which you could make many comparisons to. Even the emphasis on science fiction being played seems like commentary on the older work.

I really enjoyed Tokiwa’s Daddy and Buddy, and I’m glad to see him again.

So how many times is Shout airing Zeztz? I think they just started the 4th viewing of ep 1? Not complaining btw I’m glad they’re showing it more than once so you can catch it later in the evening.

Starting Zeztz off with a firefight is BOLD. It’s so cool to watch it live!!

I’m getting the same feeling playing Silksong as I did playing SV on the Switch 2. It feels wrong actually playing it after waiting so long and not really following scant trailers to know what’s in store.

It’s also been so sick that there were no previews or anything. It’s fun to go in blind!

SILKSONG IS SO GOOD IT’S SO GOOD

It's pretty sweet that Silksong can't be preordered. Although I know I would have purchased it by now, I can appreciate the flex of not having to get people to pay for your work before they can access it.

This article is great, but I especially loved this line. I think people get too caught up in the genre/demo debate, but don’t talk enough about what emptions shonen is trying to evoke.

I think that context really puts into context why some shonen seem darker than others..

I embedded with the creative team behind “Kagurabachi” to learn how manga are made at Weekly Shonen Jump, which is Japan’s - and the world’s - top manga magazine. You can read all about it in my feature for the New Yorker: www.newyorker.com/magazine/202...
How Weekly Shōnen Jump Became the World’s Most Popular Manga Factory
The magazine, home to such series as “Naruto” and “One Piece,” has created a formula for coaxing hit franchises out of young talents. The twenty-four-year-old behind “Kagurabachi” may be next.

September is gearing up to be a great month for media. Silksong is out this week, Taskmaster is back on the 11th, the Kirby Switch 2 DLC is really fun.

And on top of that, VGC is back, I’ve got Chibi-Robo and Shantae to fill out any gaps.

In a shocking turn of events Machine Robo Mugenbine (later shortened to just Mugenbine) is back! This time in the form of blind box figures called Mugenbine Musou, the toys still transform and combine, although some of the alt modes are a bit obscure now. They will... 1/2
