Outside of these there was another series of non-transforming characters from Machine Robo Rescue in their hyper modes but these were blind boxes with candy and included non-transforming plastic models of the Leader and Supporter Robo in their alt modes.

completely changed his design including the color scheme which itself is more accurate to the Machine Robo color scheme and not the Gobots color scheme.

The Gobots show took a lot more liberties when adapting the toy designs compared to Machine Robo which for the most part tried to translate them 1 to 1. Mach 3 is a great example of that with the anime more accurately depicting his awkward shape but Gobots pretty much... 1/2

Crasher laughs a LOT in the Gobots show, to the point where she probably has more screentime laughing than she does actually talking. In the entire 65 episode series plus Battle of the Rock Lords she laughs a total of 444 times. This trait was even brought over to other media.

A New Suit for Leader-1 is very evidently an advertisement for the power suit toys as no episode puts such an emphasis on the individual suits but rather how they combine. However, the suits in the show looked absolutely nothing like the toys they were meant to advertise.

The Robo Machine featuring the GoBots Annual 1986 referred to Buggyman as The Buggyman which is a creative choice exclusive to this Annual that I really like and feel like it roots the character to his The Bogeyman name origins and makes him seem like more of a threat.

however, this is only a minor case of consistent continuity with Gobots as the Neural Lock completely changes size and design between the two episodes.

It's not often that a device from one episode of Gobots carries into another but there are rare cases where the shows brings something back, one example is the Neural Lock which appeared in the episode Doppelganger and can be used to disable Gobots. It appeared later... 1/2

The episode Wolf in the Fold introduces the Image Simulator Circuit, a device used by the Renegades to disguise themselves with a hologram. The episode ends with Turbo and Leader-1 pretty much setting up an episode where it returns, it never comes back again.

When this thing initially got revealed I was incredibly iffy on it and then I got it in hand and it feels like a dream come true. Just pure G1 Optimus Prime to the point I dont feel like I'll ever need another one based on his animation model again.

The only Gobots / Machine Robo thing I got this year and I love this guy. Outside of 1 iffy transformation step this thing is perfect, feels excellent in both modes and almost perfect articulation. Big big fan.

I've never really had a good traditional Megatron toy so I was hoping to like this and then was iffy when I saw photos. Fortunately this thing is much better in hand and I especially love the robot mode which is perfect and poses like a dream. Alt mode is okay.

5. Lego Bumblebee
I love lego and I love transformers so naturally I had to get Lego Bumblebee, while I don't think he's as good as Lego Optimus, he's still good and a lot of fun both to build and transform. In fact the transformation is much better feeling than Optimus'.

Love this guy but unfortunately I cant put him any higher because the pegged on shoulder pads plus fins come off way too easily. Really fun besides that and I love the alt mode.

Since 2023 I've gotten an Alternators toy every year and this one is my favorite so far! Really great vehicle mode obviously but it also has the best articulation and robot mode visuals of any of the 3 that I have.

Now we're getting to the good stuff! Yeah, I really like this guy, sure it feels a little insubstantial for a voyager but it having 3 modes makes up for it in my eyes. I am quite fond.
