Diane Keaton was, far and away, my favorite actress in my "formative years." Annie Hall, Manhattan, Looking for Mr. Goodbar, Shoot the Moon, Mrs. Soffel, Reds, Marvin's Room.She displayed a neurotic, naked vulnerably that I adored. A very, very sad day. Thank you Miss Keaton.

Mark Brokaw has died. We worked together five times (3 production of The Lyons). He was a brilliant director and my dear friend. Funny, smart, kind and the epitome of class. He loved the theater and I loved him. The world feels very different to me today, emptier and sadder. Thank you, Mark.

The people of Madrid are so lovely! 2 days on a row I had to go to a big med center for some tests. Daunting as I don't speak Spanish. Both times a VERY kind person lead me by hand to where I needed to go. muchos muchos mantes gracias!

One of the oddest & most amusing things in Madrid is this store, Surprise Box. (I think it’s a chain.) They sell undelivered mystery packages. They're all in white plastic bags and you pay by weight.Crazy huh? I mean you might get a diamond ring (I doubt it) or a dozen kitchen sponges (more likely).
