Lead strategist at Sprint for PR, the progressive campaign for the electoral reform that protects us all from illegitimate right-wing rule.
Progressive co-operation can deliver the reform we need in this parliament.
But if you appeal to the 30% who rank them first, you appall the 48% who rank them last.

Just make good TV, maybe?

On the Green surge issue, did you cover the possibility that a large proportion of their supporters are still giving a tactical voting intention for Labour in voting intention polls?

The ranked preference poll from early October (when they were 11 points behind Labour with YouGov) showed this 👇

Well if the tactical votes start to flow in the other direction, Labour may see electoral reform as their only means of staying relevant.

Green Party supporters are too clever by half.
Tactical considerations at the ballot box and in polling have built up a Green Trojan Horse in UK politics.

Did we probably eat more fish historically, and less corn? Yes.

Does restoring the dietary nutrient balance we evolved with help us? Yes.

Are we prescribing enough fish oil to patients despite it not being a patented pharmaceutical? No.

I wonder why not. 🤔

The arachidonic acid metabolite of the linoleic acid in corn oil competes directly with the (presumed dietary) fish oil dha and epa for incorporation into membranes.

It's a really bad placebo that might be harming the outcomes of the patients in that arm of the study.

Ah, fuck Alex, you made me cry.
This was one of my last messages to Peter before he passed away. That was a big, fuck-off lemon.

I'm now committed to bringing about the Green-Lib Dem coalition government that will treat drug users with dignity. I'm demanding a ripe honey mango in his memory. 🥭

They may have around 30% in the polls, but nearly half of voters would rank them dead last if they had the chance. They also have the lowest mean favourability score of all the parties.

As someone who tried briefly to lead a small political party with an entirely male board... deep sigh... I think this is probably a good idea.

Scotland uses STV for council elections.

Why not vote for progressive politics instead of the status quo

That's just the basic numbers from the October 2025 poll. d3nkl3psvxxpe9.cloudfront.net/documents/Gr... For some reason, YouGov didn't write it up, and didn't release as much of the data as they did the last time. yougov.co.uk/politics/art...

It's a massive potential effect whenever the pollsters measure it (which is almost never).

If we don't get electoral reform, we need a progressive pact. And by that, I mean Greens and the Lib Dems screwing over Labour as well as Reform and the Tories.

Standing Candidates Everywhere is Mad. Stop it.
If the Lib Dems and Greens don't want Nigel Farage to be Prime Minister, they can carve up the electoral map to keep Farage out of power, and to prevent future Labour majorities too.

Their vote was 29% tactical. Yes, a whole bunch of the Lib Dem vote share was tactical Labour supporters, but Labour's crap vote share was still a big bubble that is now bursting.

I mean the Welsh elections are proceeding under a new electoral system that was agreed without a referendum or prior manifesto commitment, and no one cares. Likewise Scotland has STV in local elections that was pushed through without a referendum or prior manifesto commitment, and nobody cared
