FWIW some things that did help me with the street noise were changing the weatherstripping on the windows, adding curtains and cellular shades.

Thanks! I’ve apparently been both underproofing and underbaking it before.
This one I folded a bit more, used fresh flour and let it proof until it was almost spilling out of the basket. Baked extra 20min.
I’ll try to repeat this until I can reliably get same results!

Riding bicycle actually really helps with having good mobility and quality of life in older age. People in their 80s and 90s cycling around is great.

Same! But for writing code.
One other variation on this is I try to always have something started / in progress at the end of the day rather than something completed. This way I can sleep on it and crank out work in the morning when I’m most productive.

Pretty! I’m pretty positive it’s in the Gymnopilus genus, but I think they are hard to identify further, maybe Gymnopilus fulvosquamulosus?
