Why are college football schedules being released right now? There’s not much to be done about the transfer window (academics) colliding with bowl season (tradition, Gregorian calendars). But schedules could be something to talk about in February/March.

Look, I know the smart thing to do is say “college football is pro football now!!!” And hire some ex front office types to manage “payroll”, but I think some of them are gonna be surprised how hard it is to work in a world without a CBA, public data and uh….rules?

Not to pile on, and I know I’m late (I didn’t get to watch live), but wasn’t that the Will Howard that Big 12 fans saw? Very good, not title-contender-OSU great? He never seemed like a huge upgrade over McCord to me. It was a weird “get” for Ryan Day out of the portal.
