Late to the party, it was Some Kind of Nothingness on Strictly, although I do remember James in the LBN video, back in the day 😁

A Design for Life. Saw the video when it was released. I was 11. Utterly transfixed by it. It felt very final and almost desperate. It meant something I couldn't describe.

Couldn't access anything else until about 13YO when a friend copied Truth and EMG onto one tape. 100% fan for life by then.

Kind of a 2 pronged answer. You Stole The Sun probably the first song that resonated with me and made me buy TIMT. It was going through the back catalogue and listening to La Tristesse Durera that was my lightbulb moment.

Motorcycle Emptiness. The song and the video. 🎵💙 It made me fall in love with the band and they’ve been my faves for 31 years and counting. 🥰

Either Slash N Burn or Nat West. I had heard of the band before A Design For Life came out but couldn’t have named any songs. I started with Generation Terrorists and was hooked

I first heard ‘Tolerate’ after it‘s music video appeared on my YT recommended. It went from just that song, which sounded a lot different to what I expected I will admit but so good, to the TIMTTMY album and beyond. They are amazing

I was given a tape by my Father’s friend in 1992, after he heard I’d been listening to Rage Against The Machine, and there wasn’t much I liked on it at first but one song cut through- that was Motorcycle Emptiness and the tape was, of course, Generation Terrorists. I was 12. Changed my life.

They may not have written the song that is going to win the time this is taking!

Thanks for your understanding!

Calm down! We've got plenty to contend with. They've released 2 albums already since we started, creating about 8,000 more pairs as it is!
