Many of you have not considered this.
You have two slices of toast; one with butter, and one with jam. Which do you eat first?

TIL that my nan has an English literature O Level.

@shugshug.bsky.social Hey! My boy is planning on doing chemistry and biology A-levels. He wants to be a biomedical scientist. His maths is better than average but he's not terribly confident. I'm doing a similar degree and the maths is taught in the context of the science. Do you think he'll be ok?

In fact, ask me what my memory is of you. Then you can imagine me being very old in a nursing home talking about you.
I think when I'm very old, I'll look back on people I've met in my life, and have at least one story to tell about everyone. I wonder who else would have stories about them.

Burned my chin last night. It's blistered but is otherwise somehow fine. Probably all the insulation.

Parent at Scouts is often there with his untrained, uncontrolled, unmuzzled, too-alert akita. I know what'll happen. He's not a small man and he cannot control her.

Threads. Still thinking about it daily.

For other reasons, Titanic. My best friend in the 90s made me go no less than four times.
Never mind movies you’ve watched multiple times, name a movie you’ve watched once and would never watch again.

Got my latest assignment results back. 88%, so a 2% drop. Bit early in the module to be getting worse. But my tutor has got my results all muddled in the feedback, he says I've done better this time. How can an Actual Doctor not know that 90 is higher than 88.

Ugh, I have a hair appointment at 1000, (I'm trying to keep on top of the mighty boosh for the first time in my life), but my road is closed and I can't use my bus pass for free before 0930 😑 I already paid a deposit so I can't miss it, uuugggh

I'll be seeing MSP in March. If anyone pees on my bonfire, I shall be cranky.

Movie you've watched more than 6 times with a gif. Hard mode: no Star Wars or Trek, LOTR or Marvel.

My 87 year old nan has just used and exclamation mark AND has used LOL for the first time in a text message. She must have got it off my mom.

Which lines of poetry live rent-free in your head?

“Be that word our sign of parting, bird or fiend!” I shrieked, upstarting—
“Get thee back into the tempest and the Night’s Plutonian shore!
I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,

And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;

And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking,

And a grey mist on the sea’s face, and a grey dawn breaking.

- Sea-Fever, John Masefield
Which lines of poetry live rent-free in your head?

But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

– "Aedh Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven", W. B. Yeats
