Scenes from the #PeoplesMarch in Paonia today, where an intergenerational band sang KEEP MARCHING from Suffs, and where I was able to talk about #Ageism and those who seek to divide us:

"Ageism is just one thread in a larger tapestry of "us vs. them" thinking—one more way we divide ourselves."

We need to have a conversation about ageism, as it's the last *acceptable form of prejudice, and it is pervasive. I'll start by pointing out that the reason Black & brown people, and women can vote today, is because the old ppl you think are too old to do anything, fought for it.

The Last Showgirl was absolutely phenomenal. Incredible acting all around from the entire cast w/ Anderson and Curtis being the standouts. Parts of it felt like a documentary it felt so real. Pair this with The Substance for highlighting ageism and gender disparities in the entertainment industry.

I'm super excited to see BTS keep making art and having fun and performing at 30+ because we need to see more people refusing to give up the things they love because they're "too old for all that any more". No you're not. That's ageism. Your life isn't over at 30, you do not need to go hide.
