giant house spiders are very docile and rarely bite. They eat pests and there's some evidence they keep venomous recluses away by competing for food. If I find one in a bad spot I just move it to a houseplant. They will go back to hiding under baseboards and behind cupboards again in a few weeks.

I have to say, I’m legitimately very impressed with how SPD handled the march today. The cops were almost invisible, but there were plainclothes bike cops keeping an eye on things. And they’d posted up ambulances and fire along the route.
Nobody got provoked, everything went smooth.
