NY Giants beat reporter for Newsday. Previous stops: LA Daily News, The Commercial Appeal + more. We’ve moved on up to a new house in the (blue) sky?
A second plane banner has flown over MetLife Stadium. The first wished Giants president/CEO John Mara well as he’s battling cancer.

The second?

Old school flow for the Giants today. Week 9 vs the 49ers taking it back to the 80s

Thursday Night Football. Thursday night Lights. Giants. Eagles. Let’s enjoy.

Lot of Kansas City fans in the building tonight. Between the Giants and KC, somebody will be Moses parting the Red Sea. Or somebody at 0-3 will drown in it like Pharaoh.

Enjoy Sunday Night football

Apparently Bluesky isn’t letting me upload videos. So no clips of the Giants’ fits for Week 1.

Russell Wilson came through with a blue suit ahead of his Giants debut.

A new season begins. Giants are checking in. So am I. Northwest Stadium for Giants-Commanders.

Last night of Giants preseason football. Starters will likely sit so enjoy the view. Could be the last time fans see a long look at Jaxson Dart for a while.

I’m an LA man through and through but I’ve stood on this for 20+ years. San Diego beaches are better.

Coronado Beach has few peer

One of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard. A masterpiece among several on this game changing album.

Brian Wilson was part of my musical life since 5th grade. An architect of my city’s sound and identity. God bless his memory. Another genius that changed music

The Giants 2025 schedule is out.

6 of the first 8 games against playoff teams
10 games against playoff teams.
Hardest schedule by 2024 opponent winning percentage (.574).

Preseason games. At Buffalo, vs Jets and Patriots.

What say ye for this road after a 3-14 campaign?

Heard the best rapper alive was in the area. And he got a friend from Jersey who’s back home.

First time at a stadium concert since U2 in 2017. And it’s even better it’s for Kendrick Lamar and SZA

Got to relive HS and college last night seeing Missy Elliott. I’m thankful she’s able to tour and even better she’s still fun, unique and in good spirits. Worth coming back to Memphis for

“Me and Timbaland been hot since 20 years ago” rings out even more now than it did in 2001

The newest Giants have arrived. Abdul Carter and Jaxson Dart.

Almost brought a tear to my eyes. This winter was rougher on me than last year in NY. But seeing these temps made me joyful. The Lawd is good, I say. Goooodt!

I’ll even take some rain instead of the cold. Spring 😊😊

Happy 10th to this masterpiece. I still prefer GKMC as my fave Kendrick but I love this record being a jazzy risk. It’s a heavy listen but the musicianship/rhymes are is great. King Kunta & this song gave me great joy (despite the flawed last line).

To Pimp a Butterfly. 10 Yrs

Figured I’d share how the jambalaya looked. Bought a new pot yesterday and it worked perfectly.

Shrimp, sausage and chicken. Peppers, onions and spices for days.

Day 28: Gave in out of curiosity. Came away almost feeling the same. Cardi B has a strong voice & some of the beats hit. But the album got repetitive lyrically. Cardi's an okay rapper and her personality sells her songs. After a while, it's a bit much and felt derivative of Lil Kim/Foxy Brown #MWE

Day 27: My Mom loves this record. Hearing Carole King sing her songs made famous by others felt poignant. Not taking them back but finding another layer of depth. That's a gift. I feel the Earth Move/It's Too Late were brilliant, assertive songs. Easy to hear why Tapestry is so acclaimed #MWE

Day 26: Known the title track for years but Wish You Were Here felt more theatrical than I thought. Bigger sound from Pink Floyd. Heard more synth lines than Dark Side of the Moon but also similar sadness. The pain for Syd Barrett. The frustrations in "Welcome to the Machine". Loved it a lot #MWE

Day 25: Good, soulful folk record. Knew very little about Joan Armatrading but I love her voice - like a sultrier, stronger Joni Mitchell. "Love and Affection" was a beautiful, straight-forward ballad. "Tall in the Saddle" - a nice kiss-off to a cheating lover. I'd like to hear more from her #MWE

Couple key notes from the NFLPA’s annual report card. The Giants fell from 8th to 20th. Low marks for locker rooms and treatment of families.

Best marks for Brian Daboll and strength coaches. Ownership fell a full grade point from last year to C+

Day 24: For Roberta Flack. Beautiful harmonies, chemistry & piano playing. Soul, gospel and Black pride ("Be Real Black"). Tasteful, lovely interpretations of You've Got a Friend and I Who Have Nothing. Roberta & Donny Hathaway were always a perfect duet pair for me. This album reminds why #MWE
