Currently freezing myself to death running the periodic Lüftung in my workshop. The CO2 alarm was telling me that it was getting a bit fuggy in here. These are habits I got into during the pandemic.

US Coastguard off the Venezuela coast sometime next week....

Damn.

Although I think this is a window strike the cat brought in. Still warm. Damn.

My meteor camera was dazzled by the neighbour's security lights illuminating the haze caused by all the rain last night. Hopefully, with clearer skies they won't be so much of an issue. I do need to move the camera to a better location, or convince him to fix them.

You urban people probably see these fox-things all the time, but out here in the country it's almost unusual.

I have no idea.

She spends the daytime sunbathing or skulking amongst the pots in my greenhouse, and at night I put her in a cat carrier and take her into my workshop where her cage is. She's learned to hop into the carrier with a gentle prod as she knows that at the other end is a bowl of mealworms.

FYI @thekentacorn.bsky.social
My new favourite brushcutter!
Chews away at unwanted undergrowth in the #woodlands far faster than my petrol brushcutter, no thorny bits flying everywhere, stacks the cuttings up whole so animals can hibernate under it, VERY quiet.

Mine points a touch west of north. It's not ideal, and my neighbour has mad security lights that go on and not off randomly, not helping much. I need to relocate it up the hill a bit to avoid the pollution.

Ah, Felbridge History Society comes good. I remember the Ugandan Asians arriving. Don't remember 'Get some in', but I moved away about that time.

Whilst giving directions, I referred to the half-mast union flag festooned roundabout on the A390 at Liskeard as 'Flagshagger Roundabout' to an Amazon driver recently. He knew exactly where I meant.

If just used to cut bread: nah. Life's too short.
However, my bread knife is by far the best hard cheese cutter I've ever had. It's also great for cutting fruit, because it's not likely to cut me.
However, finding one of these micro-tooth knives is now really difficult.

My weekend project is to start planting these little fellas in pots.
They're going to end up as a small grove of Sweet Chestnuts in my woodland.

This is them a few days ago. I move them from indoors to outdoors when the weather is suitable (not pissing it down) and they usually spend much of the day in the carrier sunbathing.

A modern equivalent. Onlt £18 from your local Halfords.
Mind you, I bought mine many years ago, and it's had a lot fo use during power cuts and when out camping.

Ooops.
No cooking today. That's the power control board for the induction hob.
Hopefully, that's still available as an individual unit.

Painting window frames.
Actually, I rather like the 'masking tape' lighting effect.
