These are not trade negotiations, this is extortion by a bully. Let’s hope the EU will maintain a straight back and keep our digital consumer laws as they are. Drafting and changing laws is our prerogative, and not subject to the whims of other governments.

Ongelooflijk hoe mevrouw Yesilgöz al jaren vastzit in haar eigen gelijk. Een echte liberaal heeft een open blik op de wereld en kijkt niet alleen naar haar eigenbelang.

Er wordt nog niet eens onderhandeld over een regeerakkoord, maar het Reformatisch Dagblad heeft de mening al klaar. Zou het kunnen dat liberalen anderen wél de vrijheden gunnen die de orthodoxen anderen ontzeggen? Ik denk het wel.

Let’s hope this case will be appealed and end up before the CJEU. This is not an interpretation of the GDPR that should be the ruling precedent.

Well done @bitsoffreedom.bsky.social! The NL court confirms 'pay or ok' is not okay. A free social media feed without algorithms should be available to users. Meta must adjust their feeds in 2 weeks, with a conditional penalty of €100,000 per day (max €5mln in total).

After a successful and exciting week in Seoul at #GPA47, it is time to look ahead. Next year’s Global Privacy Assembly #GPA48 will take place in Dubai, from 7-11 December 2026. The year after, #GPA49 will take place in Kenya.
