We must ask to make sure the EHR is right! You’d be surprised how often it is not!

A patient once asked when I was due and I asked “due with what?” And when she informed me “well, you’re pregnant” I told her “no I’m not.” I let her sit with that for about 30 seconds before laughing maniacally because I was, in fact, like 34 weeks pregnant. I hope she learned to mind her business.

After phone calls to my mom and sister: Butt dial.

It was not the last time he butt dialed me in the middle of my work day.

For the record my own father once called me twice rapid fire while I was with a patient and I let him go to voicemail, he left two voicemails which indicated he was either butt dialing me or being actively run over by a lawnmower, I waited to figure out which until I was between patients.

“But you’re the mom!” Yeah I also have a job where I might in a crack house or someone might have no prefrontal cortex or balance and decide to wander across the room despite not knowing which way is up. If I have answer my personal phone at work it better be worthwhile.

At my class reunion one of my former classmates told me they had 4 kids and I immediately blurted out “that’s so many children” and then “I’m sorry, I’m afraid to let them outnumber me by that much”

The good Lord willing and the cow don’t rise?

I do, I’m going to Seven Fields. I don’t have to go until 3 through so hopefully it’s resolved by then?
