A witness says a woman was trying to drive away from an ICE operation and the ICE agent "reached across the hood of the car and shot her in the face like three, four times."

My son (10) announced a couple of weeks ago that he didn’t want to do bedtime stories anymore.
At the time I wasn’t phased too much, just a part of growing up.
Watching Return of the King last night really made it hit home. I’ll never read the “The Ride of the Rohirrim” to him.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".
