The good folks of Carleton listened closely to the wishes of their incumbent and voted for a change. Cheers to them! 🍻

With all sincerity, Elections Canada is a national treasure.

- Voting typically takes less than 15 minutes
- We make it easy for citizens to vote, without cumbersome registration hurdles
- We have every reason to trust that ballots will be counted fairly, and results reported swiftly

Given that there is no civil disorder, insurrection or armed rebellion at present, senior military leaders need to consult with their JAG officers *now* about the potential need to disobey unlawful orders. They should also consult with Democrats on the House and Senate Armed Services Committees.
Here it comes.

Key distinction right here 👇
Honestly: wait and see. Big difference between 21-11 and, say, 23-9 in Atlantic Canada.
This is bad, right?

When I wrote my camps book, people sometimes had difficulty understanding how concentration-camp regimes were proud of what they were doing and wanted attention for it, even as they also hoped to keep many aspects secret and terrorize vulnerable classes. Anyway, this is what that looks like.

“Poilievre’s campaign against what he perceives as woke and the news media, vowing to get rid of the public broadcaster, CBC, has further endeared him to Fox News, Joe Rogan, Mr. Musk and other high-profile supporters of Mr. Trump. This credits Poilievre with having his own original awful ideas.
Pierre Poilievre, the front-runner to become Canada’s next leader, has become a darling of the American right. That support now risks becoming a liability as he faces an electorate worried about President Trump’s threat to annex Canada.

This comment on r/fednews really stood out to me. Trump and Musk want people to think they're firing do-nothing "bureaucrats," but they're really getting rid of people dedicated to serving this country and keeping it operational. I hope these stories get told.

The Breakdown is reporting that the UCP have been funding Keean Bexte to the tune of $12,000 a month. And not with party funds—with public funds. Your money.
You read that right.

In 2024, the UCP government was sending a pretty consistent $12,000 a MONTH to the Countersignal.

For a grand total of $116,800 in a year and two months.

Of taxpayers money.
