Slow philosopher. Interested in how a good starting case moves arguments in philosophy of mind, AI, perception, epistemomogy, ethics and pretty much everywhere!

Why won't springer journals have in their homepage, in big bold font, the price they charge for OPEN ACCESS? Took me a while to find it. For an academic in the Global South, 3000 usd is just completely out of the question!!!

What’s new is old: After the Wiley-𝘑𝘗𝘗 debacle, the editors & board resigned en masse. Now those editors are founding a new, open-access journal, 𝘗𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘺. I think I speak for the poli phil community in general in saying 𝘗𝘗 is the old 𝘑𝘗𝘗’s true successor.

If faking a painting gets you something and faking a passport gets you somewhere, what does a fake work of philosophy get you?

A 17th-century classic of Ethiopian philosophy might be a fake. Does it matter, or is that just how philosophy works?

Fascinating clip of Sartre and Beauvoir, in which Sartre says “I totally agree with Simone de Beauvoir” about aspects of her feminism and she says (I paraphrase): well, there are things you don’t understand…
