The government can spend money on concentration camps but not on housing. It really is this obscene.
ICE has now spent over half a BILLION dollars just on purchasing warehouses around the country to convert into detention camps.

If these mega-camps are utilized to the full capacity ICE intends, they'll be the largest prisons in the country, with little real oversight. www.ajc.com/politics/202...

Debí tirar más fotos was such a beautiful song and album, very well deserved award to Bad Bunny. It was a masterwork.

Boy they really bungled the secret police thing. It wasn’t like they didn’t have historic examples to study, but usually the operative word would have been “secret” but instead they went around publicly executing people in front of cameras. Let’s be thankful for their incompetence.

Happy by Pharrell is only something that could have ever possibly come out during the Obama administration. While the origination is dichotomous, it made people resonate with its on-the-surface meaning, and brought joy to us. That infectious optimism is forever gone. RIP happiness

A recent study concludes that the uninhibited pumping of groundwater by farmers, cities and corporations around the world now accounts for 68% of the total loss of fresh water at the latitudes where most people live.

Just found out they named the International Terminal at SFO after Dianne Feinstein, because copying LAX is a good idea? DFIT I guess is better than TBIT. There should be laws against naming public facilities after people, politicians or otherwise. Airports especially.

Apple TV makes their interface based on every international hub European airport. Painfully Kafkaesque. I love labyrinths but not Apple TV.

There are a few things that United Airlines MUST bring back. Commercials with Rhapsody in Blue (the ones narrated by Robert Redford), the TULIP, and the preflight safety video with aurora borealis, the Loch Ness monster, and pretzel boy.

I’m getting sick of needing to go somewhere on Amtrak, and the train is sold out. You know what isn’t sold out? Planes. But you can’t just add another train car at the back of a plane. Do better Amtrak.

We possess the technology to create products that nearly never break. We were doing it in the 70's & 80's.

Then came 'planned obsolescence' - intentionally designing products to become obsolete or break quickly within a set time frame.

This is that- but in reverse.

Someday, United airlines will ditch the lame old continental logo a bring back the tulip. Not the best airline logo ever (delta is going to win that contest) but it’s far better than the generic globe they have now.

Some days I actually consider not flying United because they ruined the safety video so badly. I hate the stupid ball video and everything about it.

Sad that at this point, it appears United Airlines has shifted all aircraft from the good and entertaining safety video to the new, dumb, boring, lame “ball” video.
