Like a maniac I finished #Arcane in two days - it was so worth it but the themes in this series are crazyyy relatable to the world we live in omgg

This is very random but one time I was writing a paper and I purposefully lowercased “white” and uppercased “Black” as a small way to comfort myself while I was researching the long term effects of health disparities (caused by all the ‘isms) - and yes, my advisor made me go back & correct it 🙃

I missed a day but I promise you that I did in fact work out yesterday…

Most of the walking I did at 12 incline at various speeds and then I ended with some 0 incline walking at the end, totaling to burning over 330 calories

Not exactly 10k steps or even 8k, but still a very good burn 🔥

Is this going to be like Diddy where his increased media presence caused other lawsuits to gain traction..or is this just a coincidence
UnitedHealthcare has been accused of using algorithms to deny treatments and refusing coverage of nursing care to stroke patients. UnitedHealthcare and its parent company now face a class-action lawsuit over its use of the algorithm.

I can’t be the only one that thought for one second that DOGE was referring to DOGE coin 👀 no…just me? I guess I’m only hip to healthcare related acronyms, whoops!

All the hubbub surrounding the health insurance CEO isn’t just about claims being denied.

Yes, claims denials are a huge problem and detrimental for many people. I agree it’s the biggest problem that directly affects the everyday consumer.

But, I would like to challenge y’all to go deeper 1/6

Companies like this will only do what they can get away with!

This reminds me of when maternal mortality really came to the forefront of the conversation. Then, all of a sudden programs and initiatives and partnerships and legislation started to spring up. (there is still much progress to be made)
this only suggests to me that everyone needs to keep being meaner to those in power. the wealthy elite need to be scared

You may not understand why, but the healthcare insurance and PBM contracts YOU have signed for Tesla, SpaceX , @X, along with CEOs of other big companies , have more impact on healthcare costs and quality of care in this country, than anything you can do with DOGE

I don’t know about humiliation, but definitely anger and disappointment. To be honest, the healthcare system at large hasn’t lived up to its image and perception for a very long time.

That said… 1/2
No shit murder is bad. The jokes about the United CEO aren’t really about him; they’re about the rapacious healthcare system he personified and which Americans feel deep pain and humiliation about

Just to add a little razzle dazzle to your feed, what did everyone think of tonight’s Holiday episode of Abbott Elementary? 👀

It’s only been two days, but I’m in the process of proving to myself that I can do hard things. Of course, I’ve done hard things before but sometimes you begin to doubt yourself.

There is power in this (see article). It’s also known as “effortful reward”. 1/2
