I enjoy the struggle that comes with crafting sentences. Agonising over the specificity of word choice, relishing in the triumph when I know I got it right. I will never want software to do this for me. I am a writer, and I love to write. I love the trial, the journey, the bleed. I love the art.

When reading fiction -- even bad fiction! -- one can ask, "What did the author MEAN to communicate? What did they imagine the audience would be feeling at point? What is being conveyed?"
But with AI text the answer is nothing. There is no emotion. There is no author.
