I've been reading the presentation that utility #RhodeIsland Energy has been giving to state legislators on drivers of electric bills.
It appears to accurately assess costs, but makes one very significant error/omission: it treats spending on #solar and #wind as a cost, instead of an investment. /1

We don't expect students to be athletes after taking an elementary phys ed class, but sometimes we have the inappropriate expectation that an elementary student will be completely fluent in a new language after an elementary language class.

Early language programs don't just teach a language. We teach every single content area, we teach social emotional skills, and so much more! We are concerned about educating the whole child.
