It's been a while, but aren't Jack and Barbosa just stabbing each other repeatedly at the end without really caring?

I could be misremembering, though. "A while" is an understatement.

Most of the time the zombie pirates just shrug off attacks, so I'm guessing Verbinski thought the gag was funny enough to justify the contradiction.

They found the card painter dead. Beside him were three bottles of absinthe, all empty, and a final completed painting...

Agreed. I'm expecting it to fail/succeed the way Rings of Power failed/succeeded. It'll probably get attention, but I don't see a realistic way it makes money... and unlike Amazon, I think WB actually has to care about making money.

I haven't seen SuperKlaus yet, so two of the best feature length animated Christmas movies ever is the floor.

But as far as I know you're not wrong that it wasn't released anywhere in the US last year, so it's not Americans' fault for failing to notice it.

It's been streaming for free on Kanopy for at least a few weeks now.

It is very good.

Skews very young (you can show it to toddlers), but the animation is beautiful no matter how old you are. Basically an anthology of shorts reminiscent of 70's Sesame Street.

AI posters are going to be the norm for micro-budget horror now, aren't they?

For what it's worth, I only doubted you were subscribed to Nebula, not that you'd hesitate to watch a Lindsay Ellis video given the chance.

This episode of Bluey is called, "Sorry"

Contrary to the title, Ellis isn't being critical of adults who like Bluey. Quite the opposite, in fact.

The "World's Greatest Comics" books were the first comics I ever bought, way back in the 90's.

I remember Ghost being the character who interested me the most at the time, but I only collected a handful of her solo books (can't recall why).
