Very excited to have my drawing in the Johns Hopkins University Art Collection! It is also currently on display at the Irene and Richard Frary Gallery in the exhibition “Strong, Bright, Useful & True: Recent Acquisitions and Contemporary Art from Baltimore.”

We rented the “Carpet Cowboys” documentary from @beyondvideo.bsky.social because they had a brightly colored new carpet at the front door and I was curious about the decor update. Highly recommend a watch. Some outstandingly absurd characters and a reasonably dark view of the “American Dream.”

Greatly enjoyed listening to Se Jong Cho talk at Creative Mornings Baltimore today. She is an equally brilliant scientist and artist and she is making the world a better place.

I made a series of little edition-ed drawings of nighttime landscapes that I am going to be putting up for sale on March 1st. All priced to be as affordable as possible, between $50 and $600. First dibs go to folks on my email newsletter list.

I am making some little nighttime landscape drawings to do a small edition-ed series. And I am back to working on my old favorite paper, Rives BFK. 🖤

Looking forward to learning more about the life of Louise Nevelson, an artist whose work I have long loved.

Working on another memory drawing and this time combining imagery with text. “I arrived back at the apartment just in time to see a lightning storm illuminating the clouds behind the mountain range across town. North Adams, Massachusetts”

I went from extreme hunger to extreme fullness and somewhere in there I had to be at perfect satiation but I just powered right past it without notice.

I think this is one of the best drawings I have ever made. It just sold and before taking it to the framer I made a little video for posterity. Photos never do me justice.

Pulling together a new series of work that is self-portraits done through shadow or reflection. I am there in the picture but also not really, which is how I feel in my body sometimes. Having dealt with migraines and endometriosis for the last few years I sometimes feel like a shell of a person. 🖤

Finally finished making these mezzotint plates for my friend’s small run press. Only took me a year. Feeling absurdly accomplished for having finally completed them. Can’t wait to see them printed!
