My Catholic faith calls me to welcome the stranger.

Donald Trump’s mass deportation agenda rejects the humanity of our immigrant neighbors.

We need to build an immigration system based on dignity, due process, and safety for everyone.

Church is better when it's gay

one of my favorite pieces of folk religion — in Swedish, there’s only one word for dove and pigeon (as they’re essentially the same thing), so above the pulpits in these old country churches, they have depicted the Holy Spirit as their own local pigeon variant. delightful!! 🕊️🕯️✨

the downfall of Target can be directly linked to their abandoning of their Minnesota roots

Minnesotans love DEI and hate talking to strangers in the store

good luck Target
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more
As the holiday season fast approaches, Target is urging its employees to add a little more “jolly” to their work routine.

God bless Brenden, my gay, former Catholic, atheist/agnostic therapist who has to spend every Tuesday from 2 to 3 unpacking the Fourth Commandment with me

My great grandfather’s confirmation certificate from 1913. He was confirmed at the Evangelical Church of Peace (now Peace UCC) in Rochester, Minnesota. An interesting reminder that a huge chunk of UCC churches in Minnesota started as German Reformed congregations. What a fun piece of legacy!

I used to think saying “oh my God” was the most common form of taking the Lord’s name in vain

but now I think the most common example of it is people with “Christ is King ✝️” in their bios who spend every waking hour harassing queer people and feminists on the internet

I love all my Anglicans and Episcopalians ♥️🕯️🕊️🫂

I am forever grateful for The Episcopal Church and the Church of England’s witness to the gospel and faithfulness to God and God’s people.

You don't have to judge Columbus by the standards of today. His tenure as governor of Hispaniola was so horrific that he was dragged back to Spain in chains to answer for his many crimes.

Plus he never set foot on any land that would ever be a part of the United States of America.

On National Coming Out Day, know that I will always be an ally to you — no matter where you are on your journey.

I know that times may be scary, but you are seen, safe, supported, and loved here in Illinois.

it’s particularly painful to me that this is happening to Illinois, the land of Lincoln and Grant, the state whose motto is “State Sovereignty, National Union.”
