Mark - Give the title of NATO SG back immediately as an act of resistance. The US has already blown up NATO.. No EU country has any real confidence in the US. And certainly not in an "art. 5" Otherwise you are actively collaborating with the Enemy of the 31 other members.

Maybe Ukraine should keep Keith Kellogg as a political prisoner. Seems that Trump is very favorable in "Mafia Style Deal-making" looking at Trump's actions such as towards Russia and Belarus) to such methods.

What I’ve understood from military experts who follow the battlefield situation closely is that it’s currently actually starting to go better for Ukraine and less well for Russia. So the timing seems key - Trump has stepped in before Russia ends up in a worse negotiating position.

I have long found it incredibly unlikely that Putin is after a deal. The issue is time and history. As for time, it is on Russia's side in the present attritional fight. But I don't think time is on Putin's side if he agrees to a ceasefire. 1/
