As a future sonographer we see different pathologies that can stem from bad eating or drinking habits. While we won’t be diagnosing patients, it’s knowledgeable to talk with coworkers about how diets can create the issues we scan almost everyday. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

During finals week I like to eat a lot of fruit specifically blueberries because they’re so easy to snack on and healthy! I also tend to go towards something not as healthy after to reward my hard work 😄 #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

I thought this was interesting considering bread is a pretty big staple in every household. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social
Food History: On Jan 18, 1943, sliced bread was banned in the U.S. to save steel & wax paper for the war. The backlash was swift—Americans called it essential to “the morale and sanity of a household." Ban was reversed 2 months later. historyfacts.com/us-history/f...

Yummm!!! Grilled cheese and tomato’s are pretty classic to enjoy! #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social
Grilled cheese is one of the classic comfort foods. Want to make it more balanced?

Try adding tomatoes or avocado. Or not.

It's okay if you have it with extra cheese or butter. Just don’t make it a “guilty” pleasure. Enjoy every single bite.

Tom’s weight loss story sheds light on how words can affect a person. We learned that sharing rude comments as motivation, ultimately is not the right thing to do. Speaking kindly and with genuine care for patients without judgement is important for healthcare providers. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

The barrier I relate to is the lack of self regulation and preferring taste. I also have times where I can eat healthy for a period but once I start to crave the taste of something that isn’t healthy then I prefer that option. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

I think it’s important because we see so many online personas creating a vision of what is healthy with no credentials and spreading misinformation amongst younger audiences. And a good reminder of prioritizing health over a number is relevant for everyone to hear. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social
I wanna talk about what weight-neutral nutrition is because there is still so much confusion and concerning takes on it from non-practitioners. Weight-neutral nutrition is about prioritizing health and well-being over the number on the scale.
