The people danced, thinking the chains had fallen yet the masters merely changed their names. And those who dared to speak were silenced, not by the colonizer's whip, but by their own brothers in power.

Yes, especially when navigating through the audio. Feels like the vintage ReverbNation or SoundCloud UI back in 2008.

[Timestamp: 0:24] I’m no expert in podcasting or interviewing, but I feel you could've pushed him a bit further on the projects that didn’t make it.

Like the abandoned drafts, rejected manuscripts or the key editorial changes that reshaped his work.

Interesting interview, enjoying it so far. 👍

From what I’ve seen so far, this appears to be the only episode where you were the interviewer; most of the others list you as the producer.

See, I was mainly looking for the ones you hosted yourself. A direct link to those would’ve made things a lot easier instead of browsing through everything.

🎙️One of the great things, obviously, about interviewing for a podcast is that it gives you an excuse, maybe even some courage, to interview your favourite authors.
One drawback, however, is that you're often stuck in the position of always talking about somebody else's work.

Sorry to hear about your vocal cords though; I can only imagine how tough that must've been, especially for someone who’s clearly got a lot to share.

Still, that past work sounds fascinating. Have any of those episodes survived online? I’d genuinely love to give them a listen.

Eeiish! That’s some serious creative mileage and dedication, man. Solo podcasting, award-winning and all with a feminist sci-fi angle; that's downright super impressive.

@denver254.bsky.social, check out the link in the original post, and if you can spare a moment, browse through the replies as well. Plenty of valuable nuggets to pick up.

I 'preciate the clarity and balance with which you share your takes.

You've redeemed the name 'Sean' which has taken a global beating; 😂 and might be the only level-headed one I’ve engaged with. Always a treat reading your posts!

Quick one: do you happen to have a podcast on Spotify or elsewhere?

Nice read, bro! 👍 But not all suffering is merely a matter of perception.
External circumstances like poverty, illness or oppression can cause real harm that reason alone cannot fully neutralize.
Focusing solely on mental training might overlook the need for practical solutions to external problems.

Digital, yes! But only when the hand still remembers what ink once felt like.

Lol. Ahead of you there. The only thing that dwarfs my selection of Stoic / Philosophy texts is my collection of fountain and dip pens. Mind you I prefer modern vacuum-filled fountain pens for ease of use and ink conservation. Dip pens get annoying for anything longer than an A4 page of writing.
