Bring back the Expos, he/him
Careful, better not say that too loud or else you may get scolded by people online who definitely don’t think you’re talking about them.

CNN did the exact same thing a few weeks ago when talking about Trump being prosecuted. It’s like saying that putting up a fence in the monkey enclosure in the zoo is unlikely to quell the urge for monkeys to keep flinging shit at passers-by and that it’s therefore the zoo’s fault.

One of my family’s Canadiana fun facts is that my great uncle Ron played a vet who was going to put the Littlest Hobo down at the end of an episode before he escapes

I travelled Spain the summer after law school. We went to the Alhambra at night just before closing and sat under the stars and I’m not really spiritual but it was pretty much the most transcendental hour of my life

It’s a tremendously made melodrama but I found it unrealistic when Julianne Moore says she doesn’t think they have enough hot dogs, there’s clearly enough hot dogs in the next scene!

I did a walking tour in Lisbon once and even though they had no clue I was Jewish the first stop was a stone in a square commemorating a pogrom from 1506 where 4,000 forced ("new") converts were killed. Mass violence against Jews is baked into the history of most major European cities.

There's also 49th Parallel (or The Invaders), a 1941 movie directed by Michael Powell where Nazis infiltrate Canada and a bunch of mounties and Laurence Olivier as a Quebecois lumberjack kick the shit outta them

Unfortunately many have correctly remarked its not anywhere on streaming. Hope NBC considers putting it up for Det. Pembleton.

I would highly recommend "Homicide: Life on the Street". Based on a true crime book by David Simon, it's a spiritual precursor to the Wire and at the time one of the grittiest cop dramas ever. Braugher plays Frank Pembleton, basically the opposite of Captain Holt, and is transcendent.
