It's nice that I can make my cat blissfully happy at least, because I surely cannot do that for anyone else on earth.

I'm listening to Zappa's One Size Fits All from beginning to end for the first time in maybe forty years. I'd forgotten what an amazing album this was. Endlessly inventive from end to end, and a surprise around every corner. A musical roller coaster.

You know how in the middle of the night, when you're sobbing silently, wracked by spasms of anguish and grief, but you're worried about disturbing your bed partner? Memory foam mattresses are good for that. They don't feel a thing.
