I didn’t look at the image on the store. 🙃
I read the description on the store and looked at the images at the start of this thread.

The description mentions Bronze Line but the image shows a purple line. Can you clarify?
(This will not impact my decision to purchase.)

Fred Melo reported on Twitter that somehow Metro Transit is going to pay for a mill and overlay in 2026. I don’t know how that works funding wise.

Yep, the sign is outdated as the fare is now free.

At what point does placement of these lights get decided? Looking at the layout you would not imagine it could be this bad. Is this actually how it was engineered or is this something missed in construction?

This stretch of Cedar Ave will be rebuilt by Hennepin County in 2026-2027. The design has a median and shorter crossing distance.

I completely agree! I can see the midline was pretty close to the crosswalk but I would have thought grinding down a few feet or painting it yellow would have been enough. They also said there were no plans to remove them in other locations.

I casually asked a Public Works employee who said the midlines were too close to the crosswalk and there were issues with pedestrians tripping on them.
I feel like there is more to the story than that explanation but the staff member sounded cagey so I didn’t press.

Thanks! Most East Siders would say they grew up on the East Side, like Tyler says here, so that phrasing sounded odd to me. bsky.app/profile/mnuf...
Tyler Heaps has deep roots in Minnesota soccer. Host Zarek Valentin caught up with the Saint Paul native ahead of his side @sandiegofc's first trip to Minnesota

Great article, I really enjoyed reading it! Can you confirm that Heaps actually said “East Saint Paul” as opposed to the East Side?

The schedule is on Metro Transit’s website. Looks like a lot of changes. www.metrotransit.org/Data/Sites/1...

Could that be the performance where Billie Joe Armstrong met his wife?

I still remember the schoolyard chant, “Payless shoes ain’t got no grip, make you fall and bust your lip.“

When do we start telling them they need to Join, or Die?

Tribes weren’t involved right away at Riverview so I could see Ramsey County and MnDOT not knowing about this concern. (I certainly didn’t know about this until designs plan changed.) A walking path might be less impactful than LRT tracks so maybe a walking path could still have some support.

This doesn’t excuse the Saint Paul side but I wonder about the feasibility of the Fort Snelling side. With Riverview Corridor, options expanding the tunnel or having tracks elsewhere near the bluff were eliminated because tribes view the bluffs as sacred spaces and do not want them modified.
