Road trips are great. Cars are pretty necessary for navigating suburban and rural areas.

But don't let car culture blind you to how much navigating around cities by metro is genuinely a lot less stressful.

Even driving to the nearest MARTA station and then riding the train into the city is way, way, way less stressful if I'm doing anything in downtown or midtown in Atlanta.

You don't realize how much you stress about traffic and parking costs and all of that until you avoid it.
