I was so excited about gardening until the unruly tomatoes beat me into submission. When the local deer finally realized, in mid-September, that we'd started a big garden this year, I was overwhelmed with gratitude. We'd watch the clips from the game cam like "Yes. Thank you. Eat them all."

I read this after Monday's episode of "On." It's the first time it really sunk in that these anti-woke initiatives are just attempts to dumb down professional workplaces for impulsive, emotionally immature men. The boardroom isn't a Wendy's, guys. You can do better. We believe in you.

CSIS does outline their methodology, and I don't find it terribly faulty. They don't, however, publish which attacks/plots of the 750 they reviewed were considered "terroristic" and which were not. At least, not that I could find! I didn't have time to look deeply.

These types of mean, callous boy have always been around, but it used to be they'd kill kittens in abandoned lots, or some such depraved thing, and get a rise out of people by talking about it. Then they started filming it. Then they got access to guns.

This is bonkers. I work in a crime-adjacent field in a really big city. For anyone to think they’re more likely to be the victim of carjackers than they are of distracted/reckless/raging drivers is unhinged.

The casual, unintentional sexism is my favorite kind, because it’s just so weird. Like, sure, I guess I can ask my husband to fix my bike for me? But I’ll have it fixed by the time he gets here, so that seems more efficient!

There's a reason they use the word "toxins" and not "pollutants." One is magic hoodoo that we need to protect ourselves from, the latter is a real thing that industry is choosing to subject us to, and the goverment chooses not to protect us from.
