Canadians do not share your ambitions. Before you were elected, you did not espouse these ambitions. You're a disappointment - not a leader

Amazing how they don't make any claims about meat other than chicken. Ham and pea soup? No worries - we use real chicken! Beef and barley - real chicken! Trust us, only real chicken

I managed to shoot meth daily for several years without causing a single measles outbreak. It wasn't even hard to do!

I like snarky Justin, BC media needs this

people always stereotype Canadians as being polite, and its not true at all. We are passive-agressive weirdos who live in isolated weird places and the sooner we make peace with that the better

My go-to when faced with sort of thing is something like "I don't intend to sound like a jerk, but have to address this directly and I'm not sure how so it's bound to be clumsy..."

Remind yourself that it's more kind to tell them they're embarrassing themselves than not to

Use them - depends on dish though. If you're doing something that warrants being picky about only using the white tender part, you can throw the greens in the veggie scrap bag you keep in freezer for adding to stock (a practice I highly encourage)

Hats off to sticking with your principles, and hard agree with your opinion the direction ABA went.

Not that psych nursing doesn't have its own prescriptive and dehumanizing practices still

Freire and Maslow gave the angry teenage activist me the tools to rebel constructively (through peer-based harm reduction).

Sacks fueled interest in my cognitive science undergrad. But I slept on Rogers until I became a psych nurse in my 40s.

Same same but different

An enthusiastic yes to this list white humanists - with the caveat that Maslow's erasure if his Blackfoot sources was not great praxis

And I always have to credit Paulo Freire as one of the biggest influences on me - although he's not exactly from the white/European academic traditions

I did not want to know that. But thank you, it's better that I do

I almost blocked you too - putting Jar Jar below Children of Dune. Just wrong

That's a shitty way to read the data. Like saying 100% of American voters favour genocide in Gaza because both parties in the last election supported Israel.

Thank you

A pretty fitting epitaph for the contemporary world
