I get hit with the Akira leave me alone meme style mental impositions in the form of Illegal Danish quotes to this day.

It takes many years to build the relationships that afford you access to the rarer alchemical reagents needed unless you're willing to go out and take them, and raiding the enspelled towers of wealthy archmages is a young spellslinger's game!

I think by page count volume (the 2 specific books I remember come to 512 pages total) the downtime rules barely crack 1%.

I feel like 2 months ago some other guy was going on and on about how robust the downtime rules are when (I counted) it's like 6 pages across 3ish books that all read like "consult the Carousing chart for a 5% chance you fall in love" or some shit.

The alt text is already really annoying with the harr harr joke. But given this isn't even a real photo it's even more galling.

You're pulling off the lot with a car you know you're overpaying for that will be obsolete when the good models finally come out, and that all infrastructure will eventually cater to.

Unless it's just blind FOMO, your decision-making is ass-backwards.

What's really funny to me is how they claim this technology will 1) get "better" (faster, more efficient, more use-cases, easier to use), 2) get CHEAPER, 3) stick around forever, 4) be non-negotiable in everything.

With those incentives... why be an early adopter?

You can write the same redlines for a specific part for years because no one wants to change the diameter on one (1) step of one (1) MPP. I've seen businesses hem and haw over requisitioning an air drill for like 2 years despite its obvious necessity for a part 40 times it's cost.

The somewhat dire aspect to this is that there is a market of the Skyrim-obsessed who are ready for that to become the only sort of game that exists. A never-ending parade of wandering an expanse full of "stuff," in the simplest sense of the word.

All the world made into a draugr-infested tomb.

"Top 1% Commenter"

Needs a hobby. A lot of time invested on Reddit. Maybe could take up drawing to destress and learn a skill.

This is the game dev version of the Limmy tweet about President Oprah.

At the end of the day, still a CEO.

Was recently in a mall for the first time in a while and was overawed by a Funko wall display. The entire perimeter of the shop, floor to ceiling, was Funko. I know this isn't especially rare, but I was still totally gobsmacked by the scale of plastic garbage dominating the entire space.
