saucy robots, modeled and textured “by hand,” with love. No AI used or desired
All of my doctors are dying and being replaced with young corporate-brained shitheads.

Feels dire, man.

Might be happening soon. Not much left to do anymore, honestly.
One day this account (or some other) will be about robots again, I guess.

Hard to stay creatively motivated during the end of the world and all.

The death of all social media should make me happy but really I’m just kind of indifferent.

I don't know how to tell you this, but nobody who comes here from another platform actually has to respect your "rules" or your "culture" or whatever you've dreamed up for Bluesky. This is a barely launched platform. Your platonic ideals of turning this place into Tumblr 2.0 are meaningless.

Probing the content policy limitations of the chatbots has been fun. Apparently, there is an "anything but Covid" policy that prohibits content generation. Seems somewhat specific to COVID since diabetic kidney disease, cancer, and flu are fair game. Why censor, if it's over?

Mild restoration of 12 year old Portal action figures complete.

So now the boxes have been opened, old glue has been Dremeled out of joints, and new glue applied.

Their collector value is now zero.

The vaccines are far less important than the quarantine.

In fact the vaccines are basically worthless.
Reminder that 5 day quarantine rule for covid was made in service to economy and not public health. Please don't go to big family Xmas gathering on day 6. I say this as someone going to a gathering where not everyone is vaxxed, let alone observing quarantine rules. Good luck and God bless out there

Bluesky is exactly as bad as Twitter because you’re all living in the same bubble of false consciousness at the conclusion of organized society (the “end of the world”) that Twitter is, you’re just doing it differently and in many cases, more arrogantly.

It’s time for our society to admit that we’ve made a mistake and change course. The COVID-is-mild experiment, despite the wishing and the hoping, has been a tragic failure.

Well the shots don’t work so
Per CDC figures published today:

U.S. has reached a quarter of nursing home residents vaccinated with this season's COVID-19 shots

Highest state rates of nursing homes up to date are Vermont (62.5%) and South Dakota (54.1%), lowest is Arizona (8.3%)

Isn't it time to have the adult conversation about covid19 now, or do you need this winter's data points before giving up on cosplaying the year 2019?

Prevented a wholesale GOP takeover of the govt.

Kept control of one chamber of Congress. Appointed 150 judges to the federal bench.

Want them to do more? You're gonna need to end the GOP first.

But you're too pure to do what's necessary to do that.

Great work here by the NYT editorial board validating bullshit right-wing moral panic.

This is a misrepresentation, a dangerous one, of the extremely temporary and merely therapeutic effect of the vaccines during the acute phase of infection.

The vaccines don’t stop infection, reservoirs, or sequelae.

You’re less likely to die FAST in the acute phase maybe.
Should you get vaccinated against COVID? 100%!

Does vaccination mean you're well-protected against severe illness and death? Yes, generally.

Can you still get severely ill? Yes.

Can you still get long COVID (particularly after severe illness)? Yes.

Can you still die? Yes (tho much less likely)

I’ve taken a job in a startup again (the salary offer was too good to pass up.)

The good news: won’t need to use GoFundMe to pay for electricity and medication, probably (waiting on insurance).

The bad news: startup egos and territorialism from the tech guys. “Post” COVID it seems WORSE.

Mutual aid request. This time for me. I’m trying to get back to where I can be the one filling these requests again for other people instead of being the one to ask. Any little bit is a load off my shoulders.

Thank you!

What are the odds anyone would help me out with this lawsuit? I have been sued by a debt collector for therapy costs from 2021 and I don’t have the money. It’s $765.21. I’m hoping to pay this off before the court date scheduled in Nov 20. 😩 any help would be great.

Not voting in rigged elections is not “boycotting” the elections. It’s simply common sense and a better use of energy.

If you want “activisit points”, you need to do better than “boycotting” fake elections, sorry. Try harder.

Yes, it really is that bad.

Yes, society really is ignoring it.

(see how universal these statements are? why do people kid themselves when it’s COVID?)
