We firmly believe that radical empathy saves the day. It's hard to hate people up close. We strive to lead with love, not fear.
I'm genuinely worried that our humanity is at stake. #RadicalEmpathy feels like an act of defiance. #AboundingLove feels like screaming into a void.
We are hearing that Andy Singleton, director of a new and promising Alzheimer's research center at NIH, just announced his resignation.

This will disrupt innovative new Alzheimer's work to go beyond the "amyloid hypothesis." Bad news for anyone who's been touched by this disease. 🧪

Thank you to the helpers who show up every day. Be sure you don't run yourself empty. You can't pour from an empty cup. #MrRogers #LookForTheHelpers
Helping in Exhausting Times

The world is heavy, and if you’re someone who helps, it’s easy to feel like you’re running on empty. You care—that’s a good thing. But caring sustainably? That’s how you keep going.

#RadicalEmpathy because in the battle of them vs us, we're only a whisper apart.

I can't think of a more radical act of empathy than ensuring healthcare access for every single person and working to fund research to relieve pain and suffering. #RadicalEmpathy #HealthcareIsAHumanRight

Matthew 25:45
He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

If your Christianity causes you to be offended by someone asking the most powerful person in the country to be merciful towards the powerless, then you have profoundly misunderstood the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Walking a mile in another's shoes can help us see the world from their point of view, and nothing does that better than #reading. Reading breeds #empathy and NPR just came out with their #BestBooksList

We might be in the same situation, but we are not having the same experiences. Our lives are all so different, and we only ever see the tip of the iceberg. #KindnessMatters #RadicalEmpathySavesTheDay
I love this.

This #book is one of my favorites. If a book series could drive the #RadicalEmpathySavesTheDay message, it would be this one. It's a great #Elementary and #MiddleSchool read with more than 15 books that easily divides into 3 different arcs and multiple points of view. #ChildrensBooks #GreatAdultRead
