“100% affordable” has become normalized as the preferable form of housing.

This is bad policy.

It creates “projects” that quickly after ribbon-cutting deteriorate into subpar housing. Stigma and poverty trap for its residents.

Where is the California proposition to enshrine our “right to build”, with ministerial approvals and no fees as a default? Can we collect enough signatures to make this a popular mandate from the bottom up?
New York City built more housing in the 1920s than it has built in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s COMBINED.

Nobody alive knows what an actual urban housing boom looks like.
