Fixing our broken governance by giving up on it?

Famously, only downtown requires more housing and thus incentives.

Or, we could simply remove our local zoning rules that prevent building in the first place.

On our path to building an “ever more just society”, we lack the political wisdom for how to improve the fate of ever decreasing minorities (in need of policy intervention) while not harming the interests and concerns of middle society.

CEQA and law enforcement in California are great examples.

While it might look better than previous guidelines, remind me: why do we *need* these prescriptions? Why can’t we leave it fully to the architect for how to articulate the facade?
