To the many people who say “I’ll mask or stay home if I’m sick, but you’re CRAZY if you want me to mask regularly, & btw I haven’t even been sick in years”… yeah you have, & you probably spread it to a bunch of other people, some of whom, statistically speaking, lost their lives as they knew them

STUDY OF CHRONIC INFECTIONS AND INFLAMMATION IN ME/CFS (CHIIME) Purpose: To learn more about the medical history and clinical presentation of individuals with pre-COVID ME/CFS Who is eligible?: Participants are required to be older than 18 years of age, have had a formal diagnosis of ME/CFS, and have moderate or severe persistent symptoms that they think are due to ME/CFS. Participation Requirements: Each participant will undergo a phone screen and around 5 in-person visits over the course of three years. At these visits, participants will answer questions about their health, have their blood drawn, and opt into various other tests to learn more about their health. Compensation: You will receive $25 for the screening visit. If you enroll in the study, you will receive $50 for the in-person visits involving a blood draw. In a recent Assembly hearing, Newsom administration officials said when the limit was eliminated, far more people enrolled in Medi-Cal than anticipated, contributing to the state's growing costs. Between 112,000 to 115,000 people enrolled compared to early estimates of just 40,000, said health care services director Michelle Baass.
