We need to stop calling it a ‘peace plan,’ even with sarcastic quotes around it. Call it the US-Kremlin plan or similar.
‘US-Kremlin plan’ shames the US and makes it sound deeply unappealing to the broader US and European publics.

Russland wäre viel glaubwürdiger mit den Ankündigungen, niemanden angreifen zu wollen, wenn Russland damit aufhören würde, andere anzugreifen.
Wenn Russland jetzt eine „Nichtangriffsgarantie“ gegen EU und NATO geben will, sollte man bedenken, dass der Angriffskrieg gegen die Ukraine nach offizieller russischer Lesart „Verteidigung“ ist. Die wahre Nichtangriffsgarantie wäre, wenn Russland in seine Grenzen zurückkehrt.

Es ist peinlich, dass so viele politische Akteure in Deutschland immer wieder 1:1 die Position des Kreml nachsingen. Das ist im Grunde ein Verrat an den deutschen Interessen von so manchem, der so tut, als sei er ein ganz besonders guter Deutscher.
