Fentanyl. Drug Overdoses, including Fentanyl, are not even in the top 20 causes of death in the USA. Cancer, Diabetes, Covid, Heart Disease all in the top 10, and all have had their research funding cut. They aren't murdering just Venezuelans. However they are killing us much slower.

Lough Neagh and its one out-flowing river, the Bann (pictured), are a warning of where Ireland's water bodies are headed without action on excess nutrients: beautifully rich ecosystems turned into slimey, dying, stinking, open sewers.

All so a few people can make money pumping out livestock shit.

#Erin is off to the races...now a hurricane, probably for most of the coming week, and likely a major hurricane by this weekend. Erin could thread the needle and avoid any landfalls, but deadly rip currents will be a real threat, ranging far and wide.

Even if Erin avoids making landfall, it will send dangerous surf and rip currents into thousands of miles of shoreline.

From deep within tree holes, Great Spotted Woodpecker chicks beg noisily.

Both parents will deliver food to the nest, until red-capped fledglings emerge, clinging to trunks and still calling hungrily.

Parents can continue to feed fledglings for around 10 days.
