Shall we run a national poll, Liz, on who the British public respects more… you or the BBC?

I don’t think you’d actually register a percentage.

A study by the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) shows that estimates about the damage done by Brexit have underestimated its impact over the course of a decade. Data now suggests that Brexit has reduced UK GDP by 6%–8%, reduced investment 12%–18%, and reduced productivity by 3%–4%.

How many women could lay their hands on £900,000 cash to buy their fella a house in his constituency ?

Asking for a country still wanting an answer.

A simple rule of thumb: Any politician who proclaims to be pro-EU while avoiding supporting re-entry to the Single Market is afraid of mentioning Freedom of Movement. Many have been playing that game for 10 years, and pro-EU voters are wise to it. Anything without Freedom of Movement is still Brexit

📈 The Brexit mandate is dead. ☠️

Latest polling
🔵 Rejoin EU: 56%
🔴 Stay out: 30%
⚪️ Wouldn’t vote: 8%
⚪️ Don’t know: 6%

Strip out the undecideds?
Rejoin: 65% vs Stay Out: 35%.

That’s a 2:1 landslide.
Time to move forward. 🇬🇧❤️🇪🇺

Write to your paper before the Budget
Five years since #Brexit, and a British Chancellor has finally called out Brexit for what it is. An act of pure economic sabotage and vandalism. Politics is finally catching up with economic reality.

Every poll, survey, opinion piece, research and documentary confirms the disaster that is Brexit. Immeasurable damage, economically, socially, scientifically, security, politically.
It is utter madness not to start reversing Brexit.

Farage says GPs are overdiagnosing mental illness.

He blames doctors.
He blames disabled kids.
He blames the system.

But he’s not a doctor.
He’s not a carer.
He’s not qualified.

He’s RFK Jr with a Union Jack.

Everyone knows that the BBC, since its stuffing at its highest level with Tory appointees, is rightwing.

Yet UK media, especially the Murdoch press, has had a long-running campaign to gaslight us that the BBC is leftwing.

I wonder why that might be!

Is it possible to reverse Brexit as if it never happened? Because if it is, then that would be the most elegant way of everyone saving face.
As for making Brexit work: I believe we have to make **the future after brexit** work.

Because if Brexit can’t be backed out (as if it never happened) then our options are to move forwards or to change nothing.

I don’t think there’s any danger of Brexit itself looking like it was a success.
