Every $1 invested in SNAP generates $1.80 in economic activity.

It’s not about the money, Trump just wants Americans to go hungry.

My husband and I make good money and generally don’t have to worry about watching what we spend on groceries, but we pencil in a number to stick to in our budget.

I know I married a good man because when I said I was donating the excess from our budget to our local food bank, he didn’t bat an eye.

I need a recording of Tyler Childers’s monologue right before Bitin’ List so I can listen to it every morning. I think it would help keep my blood pressure in check.

Oh hey, so you just do owe people kindness. This “I don’t owe people anything” mentality is toxic.

You simply do owe people things. This is part of being part of a society.

You just DO owe people politeness and kindness.

Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, MO is the nearest hospital for large portions of northeast MO. It’s on the chopping block. If it closes, many people will have to travel over an hour to reach the next nearest hospital in-state. This will be devastating.
I do not meet Medicaid requirements, but my healthcare premiums became affordable when Missouri expanded Medicaid.

Medicaid cuts will impact my insurance. It will impact my rural hospital. It will impact my life.

It’s all connected.

I am grieving the barbarism that is going to unfurl from all this. People are going to die. Livelihoods gone. All to feed a corrupt kleptocracy.

I see every day up close how different it is from the first time around. There are no guardrails. A disaster. I’m sorry we have to live through this.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.
