NEW: Whitman Walker, a LGBTQ health center in Washington DC, has scrubbed its site of descriptions of gender affirming care services.
This is pure cowardice and stabbing the trans community in the back. While services are not affected, it will limit access to resources if patients can't find them.

This should be absolutely embarrassing to our institutions like GLAAD & HRC. They are simply not meeting the moment.
@podsaveamerica.bsky.social campaign breakdown segment.. they ALL missed the point. “I don’t think trans”..wrong. You lost people in ALL circles because you backed away from your morals, didn’t matter what. In light of other stances, the silence on something you purportedly supported was deafening.

Even if you're not moved by the argument that Twitter is a rightwing cesspool thanks to its redpilled owner, the fact that foreign enemies are expressing concern that they won't be able to use Twitter to manipulate Americans anymore should be enough to warrant the exodus.
If you needed even MORE of a reason to switch to Bluesky, China is "troubled" by the fact that they've invested so much time on Twitter buying ads, bots, and influencers... only to see the people they're seeking to manipulate (us) flee the site.

I would like to speak up today for the trans community.
You see, I know a bit of what it’s like to be politically scapegoated. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, suddenly anyone in America who had any amount of Japanese ancestry became suspect. Politicians preyed upon ignorance and fear. /1

It’s because you ARE intolerant. This stance conveniently pretends trans men don’t exist. Forcing trans men (see: Men) to compete against women is wild stance to take. Sports is never about genetic equality, anybody who participated in sport knows that. To pretend otherwise is ignorant transphobia.
You can be for most trans rights, but if you don't think trans women should compete in women's sports, you are piled on & called intolerant.
