a building that is not part of the plaza shares a wall, windowless for the first few stories, with the current vietnam memorial courtyard. there are angular recessed spaces in each bay, just above eye level, and below the first set of windows
the courtyard is filled with chunky concrete planters, some of which have small trees but most of which are empty. some have wooden benches attached. a big circular fountain, currently not running, is in the middle. to the right, the stone parapet of the plaza hovers over a dark glass wall. To the left, a chunky white marble building. ahead is the aforementioned blank wall of the neighboring building
