Here’s a photo of my freshly groomed dogs to brighten this gloomy autumn day. On the left is the new dog Jessie (8)and beside her is little Pippa (12)
My rescue dogs Jessie on the left mostly white with black patches and a few spaniel spots wearing a green collar. She’s about 8 years old and a mix of terrier and spaniel who came to us in July. Beside her is Pippa mostly black with a white chest and paws. Her little face is grizzled with gray. She’s wearing a pink collar and is a 12 year old patterdale mix we’ve had since she was 3 months. They’re sitting on a yellow blanket

One of my little dogs slipped away in her sleep early this morning. She was 13. She had cancer. My heart is broken in 2. She really was the best little girl

After my recent visit with my daughters to Bru na Boinne I decided on a more permanent reminder of the most amazing place I’ve ever visited
A tattoo on my left forearm of a triskele or triple spiral representing the connectedness of things and continuity. These symbols feature in the monuments at Bru na Boinne in Ireland My 2 daughters got the same one

It had to be done..another road trip to Brú na Bóinne this time to see the Knowth monuments as well as Newgrange. There’s nothing like a dose of 5000 year old Neolithic culture on a sunny spring Sunday

Made a road trip today to Brú na Bóinne or Newgrange. What a beautiful and amazing place even on a cold rainy day like today. Older than the pyramids and Stonehenge this is definitely worth a repeat visit. Heres some photos I took

A pic of some leopard slugs which apparently are a gardener’s friend. They’re “detrivorse” meaning they eat other slugs and plant debris rather than seedlings and can move at a rate of 16cm per minute! Amazing!

Muckish mountain (Jan24) the top dusted in snow with an almost perfectly clear winter blue sky. Mist swathes the lower slopes making it look quite magical. The mountain is so called because it resembles a saddle back pig. Muc is Irish for pig

Had a great day in Dublin’s fair city. Lovely Xmas atmosphere and a great lunch at Neary’s pub at the top of Grafton St

Great stuff! I’m away for a frosty tramp over the park with my dogs who are giving me the look and we’re not even out the door

I’m in Donegal for the weekend and on the beach with no coat on! Such a beautiful sky this evening
