does anyone else have ideas for community events and public space activation endlessly scrolling through their mind? and I mean ALL DAY EVERY. DAY. i can’t pass a vacant building or empty lot or read an interview or article without dreaming and scheming its communal good. where the dreamers at?

Great turnout last night for our Georgia District 10 Town Hall with(out) Rep. Mike Collins, who is proudly MAGA. So many came (almost 400) that we had 2 overflow rooms. Others caught the livestream at home. We have 163 written pages of questions to pass along to Mike the Missing.

Dear Congress,
Libraries are the place we all belong. The place where Mister Rogers’ neighbors collide at the library to help one another. We come together to embrace library joy. What good is the world without libraries and museums? ❤️‍🩹

Call, email Congress! Help libraries & museums! We need you 💛

tell me again it’s impossible. this is about choices, not impossibility. the amount of times I’ve heard local govs talk themselves into apathy by hiding behind complexity is maddening. it’s imperative to keep our humanity, our tenderness and clarity, at the forefront of policy and program design.

do not forget this. also, please read the list of Dems (in comments) who voted to censure Green for legitimately the only act of courage a politician showed in that hall.

This is not law. It couldn’t withstand legal scrutiny.

Don’t comply in advance university presidents. General counsel, don’t panic. Do law, not vibes.
Real question. What is an “illegal protest”? Real question. He was convicted of a crime. Why hasn’t he been expelled?

I think about this every day at work right now. We have to hold the line, we have to. We cannot depend on any federal systems to have our back and every internal and external language shift matters. Language builds reality.
Point out things are illegal not from a belief that the courts will save us (they almost certainly won’t) but because it’s important to not shift toward an authoritarian mindset by allowing them to normalize illegal shit
