In January 2019 I tried to end my own life, and came very close to not making it. I’d been abused and raped repeatedly, and didn’t know how to go on. 6 years later, he’s in prison and on the sex offenders register for life, while I’m using my experience to make change for others.

In 2020 I finally escaped an abusive relationship and pursued justice for what I’d gone through. While this Christmas hasn’t exactly been stress free (parole proceedings are no fun) I still feel unbelievably grateful for the life I’ve made since then. Merry Christmas! ✨

This is my first post on this platform so let me introduce myself. I’m Ellie and I’m a rape survivor who refuses to feel shamed for what happened to me. Instead, I’ve chosen to make my pain my platform and channel my hurt into change. Nice to meet you!
